Emily Lo is the Director of Operations at The French Pastry School of Kennedy King College at City Colleges of Chicago.  Emily leads various departments including Admissions, Financial Aid, and Marketing and ensures that The French Pastry School is operating at the highest level.  She is also responsible for developing new business strategies, managing our strategic partnerships, and identifying growth opportunities, both domestically and abroad.  Emily is uniquely positioned for this role at the school as she is a previous honors graduate of the L’Art de la Pâtisserie program.

Prior to joining The French Pastry School, Emily was the Director of the Illinois Small Business Development Center at ICNC, a small business incubator in Chicago, where she helped entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses.  She also has extensive business experience in marketing, business development, and strategy across industries including hospitality and ten years in financial services, in the US and Europe.  She has held senior roles at Caesars Entertainment and HSBC, one of the largest financial services companies in the world.  Her experience also includes being a management consultant at Booz & Company and project engineer at Hughes Aerospace and Electronics Corporation.

Emily holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena, CA.
