Lindsay Koriath
Communications Specialist
Lindsay Koriath joined The French Pastry School in January 2007 as the Admissions Counselor. Since January, 2009 as the Communications Specialist, she has been responsible for creating and editing all of the school's written materials. She contributes articles for The French Pastry School’s website, and her work has appeared in Dessert Professional and Pastry and Baking: North America. As part of the marketing team, Lindsay assists the Marketing Director in various capacities. She is also responsible for translating written materials from French to English for the school’s visiting master guest chefs. Lindsay also assists in event coordination and creating written materials for Pastry Chicago, a volunteer association that unites passionate pastry enthusiasts, students, and professionals through participation in events and competitions promoting the art of pastry throughout the Chicagoland area. She assists in a similar capacity for The French Pastry School’s Scholarship Foundation, For the Love of Chocolate. Before joining The French Pastry School, Lindsay worked as a museum educator at Minnetrista Cultural Center in her hometown of Muncie, Indiana where she worked with visitors of all ages teaching topics from science and history to food preservation. A longtime enthusiast of French language, culture, and food, Lindsay has spent time studying and working in France. During her college year abroad, she attended the École Supérieure de Commerce in Clermont-Ferrand, Auvergne and independently studied writing and translation in Fontainebleau. She returned to France in 2003 to Chalon-sur-Saône, Burgundy where she taught English to high school students for one year. Lindsay obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English and a minor in music from Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
