International Students

The French Pastry School at City Colleges of Chicago is now accepting international students to the L'Art de la Patisserie program. Click here to view some keys facts on one of our most recent graduates. International Students are required to take a few additional steps in the application process. Below are the additional steps that need to be completed:

Complete the admission application and submit to The French Pastry School with $150.00 non-refundable application fee. (Payable to The French Pastry School)

Complete the City Colleges of Chicago/Kennedy-King Admission Application and submit to The French Pastry School with $100.00 non-refundable I-20 application processing fee. (Payable to The French Pastry School)

Kennedy King College Admission Data Form

Transmit notarized or official true copies of academic transcripts from secondary school (high school) to The French Pastry School

A certified evaluation of high school academic records is required. The evaluation of foreign credentials is done through the City Colleges of Chicago at a fee of $125.00 payable to City Colleges of Chicago. Please complete the application for evaluation and follow the directions for submitting your educational credentials to:

Application for Evaluation of Foreign Credentials

All prospective international students, whose native language is not English, applying for admission to the City Colleges and The French Pastry School, are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and submit a TOEFL test score as a requirement of the application process. The Education Testing Service must submit TOEFL test scores directly to The French Pastry School. The minimum test score for admission is 450 or 133 computer base results are required for admittance. For more information about taking the TOEFL Examinations online go to www.toefl.org. The school code for you TOEFL should be #1910 for Kennedy-King College

Submit a notarized INS Form I-134 affidavit of support. For a copy of the I-134 form and additional information, please visit www.ccc.edu/isa and search for I-134 form

Certified Bank Letter of Verification. Sponsor must show minimum of $25,000.00 US in his/her account, and an Employment Verification Letter of a minimum of $30,000.00 US per year. If self-sponsored, student must show a minimum of $30,000.00 US in his/her account

Copy of passport valid for travel to the United States and with a validity date at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the United States. One recent color photograph of applicant with dimensions of 1 and ½ inches square (37x37mm), showing full face, without head covering, against a light background

Provide proof of health insurance or purchase health insurance through the City Colleges of Chicago campuses. Note: It is recommended that you purchase health insurance through the City Colleges of Chicago
